Dustin was born and raised in Marysville and graduated from Marysville High School in 1992. He continued his education at the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in Dallas, Texas, where he earned his degree in mortuary science. He completed his apprenticeship at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Service in Coffeyville, Kansas, and Kinsley Mortuary.


He is married to Jessica, daughter of James and the late Dru (Lehechka) Price of Home, Kansas. Dustin’s parents are Dave and Mary Zutterman of Marysville.


Dustin and Jessica have four children: Mercedes, Sander, Zoe, and Stella. Mercedes is a licensed Kansas funeral director and embalmer alongside Dustin. Sander is currently a senior at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Zoe has begun mortuary school, and Stella attends Marysville Junior-Senior High School.

Mercedes Mitchell joined Kinsley Mortuary, Inc., on January 1, 2021.


In 2020, she graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, IL.

Carol graduated from Marysville High School and Cloud County Community College with an Associates of Applied Science degree.


In 2001, she began working at Ward Funeral Home.


She is a Kansas licensed Assistant Funeral Director and a licensed pre-need insurance agent. She serves as the Office Manager and makes both funeral arrangements and pre-arrangements with families.


Carol is married to Steve and they have three children and five grandchildren.
