Victor Keith Schroeder, 88, Derby, died Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Wichita, KS. A funeral service will be held, 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 26 at Ward Funeral Home, Washington. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Washington City Cemetery. Victor was born on January 9, 1932 at Haddam, KS to Carl and Emily (Peters) Schroeder. He is a high school graduate and attended one year of college. Victor served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge from the Navy, he settled in San Diego and was self-employed in a print shop, which he ran thirty-five years. Victor enjoyed all sports, the San Diego Chargers, Wichita Shockers, KU and K-State. Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Bill, Ernie, Ralph, Marion, Vern and Duane Schroeder; sisters, Bernice Landis, Helen Slater, Gertie Mayer and Maxine Schroeder. Survivors include sons, Gary Schroeder, Littleton, CO, Mark Schroeder, Castle Rock; daughter, Cathy Marshall, Derby; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington.
