Pamela was born November 7, 1970, at Concordia, KS, to Wayne and Phoebe (Senters) Cyr. She attended Clifton Clyde High School and Cloud County Community College. While at Cloud she enjoyed dance classes. She worked as a waitress at many restaurants and taught country dance lessons. This is where she met the love of her life, Alan K. Ohlde. They were united in marriage on March 4, 1995, at Zion Lutheran Church in Linn. They welcomed their daughter, Jennah Nicole, two years later in 1997. Pamela enjoyed cooking and being a homemaker, but her pride and joy resided in raising her daughter. For many years, she also did the bookkeeping for the family business. She faced many challenges in life, first with being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 5, and then progressive Multiple Sclerosis in 1993. However, these diagnoses did not stop her from living a full and wonderful life. She continued head on through the face of adversity, conquering each challenge with grace and dignity until the end. Pamela was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Cyr; and grandparents, Ivan and Lorena Cyr. Survivors include her husband, Alan, Linn; daughter, Jennah Ohlde, Manhattan; mother, Phoebe Cyr, Clifton, KS; brother, Steven (Angela) Cyr, Waterville, KS; two sisters, Rhonda (Scott) Lovenstein, Round Rock, TX, and Jackie (Patrick) Hogan, Salina, KS; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. A memorial fund has been established to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home.
