Lawrence Charles Huber, 96, Washington, died Sunday, September 22, 2019 the Washington County Hospital, Washington, Kansas. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:30, Saturday, October 19, 2019 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, north of Morrowville, KS.  Father Joseph Kieffer will officiate. Lawrence was born at the family farm north of Morrowville on June 3, 1923 to Charles and Theresa (Nutsch) Huber.  He spent most of his life in this area, attending the Albia Country School and then farming.  He was a shy, quiet man with strong religious beliefs.  He enjoyed family gatherings and being the photographer of group photos.  Some of the highlights of his year were taking his nieces and nephews to the Jefferson County fair and to the A&W drive-in for root beer floats.  Preceding him in death were his parents.   Survivors include his sister Rita (Melvin) Carlstedt of Nebraska City and brother Harold (Frieda) Huber of Mahaska as well as many nieces and nephews.  A memorial fund has been established in his name and can be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home in Washington.  To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Lawrence C.
