Larry A. Edgar

Larry Allen Edgar, 75, Overland Park, formerly of Washington, died December 5, 2020 at Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park, KS. Graveside funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, December 14, 2020 at the Washington City Cemetery, Washington. Larry was born March 28, 1945 at Marysville to Allen and Anna (Slama) Edgar. In 1963, he graduated Washington High School. On April 3, 1965, he married Lynda McGrath at the Methodist Church in Linn. To this union five children were born, Gary, Todd, Sheila, Sharon and Sarah. Lynda preceded him in death in 1995. Larry worked for the Kansas Highway Department and would do odd jobs around the community. He liked to trap, hunt and fish. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Lynda; and grandson, Eli Leahew. Survivors include sons, Gary (Celeste) Edgar, Washington, Todd Edgar, Greenleaf; daughters, Sheila (Wayne) Bolejack, Washington, Sharon Edgar, Prairie Village and Sarah (Daniel) Leahew, Ottawa; brother, Lonnie Edgar, Wichita; fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington.
