GayLynn Lindsley Jones, 49, Washington, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at her parents’ home after a brave battle with cancer.

A funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, August 30, 2025 at the Morrowville Christian Church with Pastor Ron Brown officiating.

Burial will be in the Washington City Cemetery.

GayLynn was born on June 8, 1976 to Larry and Verda (Yound) Lindsley in Washington. In 1994, she graduated from North Central High School in Morrowville.

GayLynn worked for the 15-36 Truck Stop, at FNB Bank and B&B 36 Lix. She really liked working with the public and visiting with people. GayLynn enjoyed the farm life, being outside, her chickens, gardening and cooking. She was a member of the Morrowville Christian Church and was baptized in March on 1998.

On January 31, 2004 she was united in marriage to Jim Jones at the church in Morrowville.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Emmett and Myrtle Yound and Kenny and Fern Lindsley; and mother and father-in-law, Gail and Harold Jones.

Survivors include her much loved dog Bear; her husband, Jim; parents, Larry and Verda Lindsley; Jimmy (Sidnee) Jones and grandson JJ; sister, Shelly Lindsley; sister-in-law, Shelley (Jay) Peters; nephew Pete Peters; and many cousins and friends.

A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington, KS.
