Gary G. Romine, 72, Washington, died Sunday, March 6, 2022 at his home. A service is planned for a later date in Missouri. Gary was born September 12, 1949 in Ellisville, MO to George and Dorothy (Hoffmann) Romine. He graduated from John F. Hodge High School in St. James, MO. Gary worked as a farmer. He met Cynthia Spurgeon in Cuba, MO and together they had eight children, Beverly, Jennifer, Carrie, Kaitlin, Kelli, Weston, Bryce and Walker. He raised livestock, enjoyed gardening, cutting firewood and selling vegetables and eggs. He liked to visit, and spend time with his children and grandchildren. He always kept gummy bears and lifesavers on hand for all the grandkids. He could be seen wearing his everyday attire of bib overalls and a hat, along with the occasional swisher sweet cigar. In 2016, he moved to Washington and worked for different area farmers. Survivors include his children, Beverly (Josh) Englert, Washington, Jennifer (Justin) Eaton, Cherryville, MO, Carrie Romine, Columbia, MO, Kaitlin (Cody) DeMint, Cairo, MO, Kelli (Adam) D’Angelo, Morrowville, Weston (Libby) Romine, Worth, MO, Bryce (Victoria) Romine, Washington, Walker Romine, Worth, MO; siblings, Harold Romine, Ronald Romine, Linda Swindle Casey, Carl Romine, Randy Romine, Thelma Gehringer, Wilma Tilman, Charles Romine and Chester Romine; seven grandchildren, Hayden, Liam, Kenzie, Colton, Braylon, Laikyn and Bexley and one on the way. A memorial fund is established and will be designated by the family. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington, KS.
