Doris Ford

Doris Lee Ford age 93, passed away, Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Walden’s Cove Personal Care Home in Jefferson, Georgia, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s.

She was born August 4, 1932, in Haddam Kansas, a daughter of the late Judson and Lora Burt.

Doris loved to play games with her family and friends. She was an avid bridge player, she loved card and board games, and Bingo in her later years. She always had a very competitive nature.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, her son Greg, her brother Edwin (Marilyn) Burt, sister Betty (Babe) Zenger, and brother in law Bill (Betty) Ford.

She is survived by her daughter Lori, son Randy (Elizabeth), granddaughters Kelbie, Kenzie, Haley, Shelly, and great grandkids Ella and Charlie, along with many nieces and nephews.

There will be a family graveside service for Doris in the Haddam Cemetery.
