Dorian B. Bisping

Dorian Bernice (Meyer) Bisping went to her heavenly home on November 26, 2020. Visitation will be held at Ward funeral home in Linn from 2 to 4 p.m. on November 29, 2020. A private graveside service at Zion Lutheran cemetery with immediate family will be held on November 30, 2020. Dorian was born August 7, 1935 to Martin and Elise (Klipp) Meyer of rural Hanover Kansas. She was baptized at this same home on August 25th by the Rev. Dr. William Mahler. Her sponsors were Anna Klipp, Martha Kruse and Frieda Meyer. She attended elementary school at St Paul's Lutheran school in Malcolm Nebraska and Trinity Lutheran school in Hanover. She confirmed her faith there on April 10, 1949 with the Rev. Theo Kauffeld officiating. She completed her high school education at Hanover High School in 1953. Dorian married Don Bisping on July 28, 1957. This union was blessed with three children, Donald, Sarah and Susan. Dorian was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Linn, KS. She was a longtime member of the Dorcas society and a recent member of LWML. After 60 years of marriage, her husband Don preceded her in death May 14, 2018. She was also preceded in death by her sister Luella Kovac and husband Rev John Kovac; brother Rev. Erwin and wife Doris Meyer; Brother Gary Meyer and wife Loma; Sister in law Edna Brinkmann and husband Otto; and brother in law Leonard Stone. Survivors include children, Donald T (Judy) Bisping, Linn, Sarah (Mike) Meenen, Americus, Susan (Joel) Whitmer, Gardner; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; brother, Delbert (Ann) Meyer ; brother in law, Neil (Harriet) Bisping; sisters in law, Gladys Stone, Alice (Henry) Gehrke; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
