Deborah S. le Roux, 57, died October 5th, 2020, at MercyOne Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa. A private service was held at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Kimeo, Kansas. The service was live-streamed and viewable online on the Ward Funeral Home Facebook page. A Celebration of Life event will be planned at a later date. Debbie was born on June 15th, 1963, to Bob G. Milks and Mary L. (Hogan) Milks in Parsons, Kansas. On July 20th, 2002, she was united in marriage to Marinus le Roux in Olathe, Kansas. Debbie had a deep and genuine love for bringing joy to her friends and family. Anyone who has met her would remember her as a beaming ray of light, with laughter that could bring an immediate smile to your face. She had a zest for life and all things fun and happiness. She was passionate about travel, especially the beach. She loved music, laughing with friends, and spending time with her family. Debbie is survived by her husband of 18 years, Marinus le Roux of Carroll, IA; daughter Rebecca (Tincher) Hofstetter and husband Joshua of Austin, TX; son Martin le Roux, of Carroll, IA; brother Dennis Milks and wife Becky, and their children Ben and Hannah of Kansas City, MO. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Mary Milks of Washington, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish to express sympathy, please consider making a donation to the Debbie le Roux Memorial Fund. The Debbie le Roux Memorial Fund is being established as an Education Fund for her son, Martin le Roux. Contributions could also be made in Debbie's honor to Saint Michaels of Kimeo. Any contributions can be mailed to the Ward Funeral Home at 115 W. 2nd Street, Washington, KS 66968. In appreciation of life-saving efforts made for Debbie, the family would like to encourage all who are able to donate blood for their local community.
