With profound sadness we announce the passing of Constance Patricia Snyder, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Connie passed away peacefully February 14, 2022 at Cambridge Nursing Home with her daughter Susan by her side. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, February 25, 2022 at the Washington Christian Church in Washington. Pastor Titus Mohler will officiate. Marc Bryant will be song leader. "Jealous of the Angels" will be sung. Debbie and Todd Cairns will sing "On My Father"s Side." Honorary pallbearers are Jonathan Snyder, Brandon Cairns, Danny Snyder and Lynndon Cairns. Burial will be in Washington City Cemetery. Connie was born February 23, 1939, at Washington to Clarence and Alice (Donohue) Walter. She was the first born of nine children. Connie worked in many areas of business, Kiers and Washington Motel being her favorites. Connie loved to read her bible, praying for and with others, attending religious retreats and never missed a Sunday of church. She enjoyed doing puzzles and framing her masterpieces. Socializing with fellow friends and enjoying a hot cup of coffee were also some well-loved hobbies. Preceding in death were her parents Alice and Clarence; siblings Robert, Richard and Janice, sister-in-law, Rose and brother-in-law, Leonard. Survivors include her children Susan (Jon) Cairns, Greenleaf, John Snyder, Hanover, & Angela Stromitis, Beatrice, NE; brothers John (Jeep) Walter, Washington, Donald (Sparrow) Walter, Washington; sisters Ann Hawk, Washington, Margaret (Max) Werner, Beatrice, NE and Sara Russell, Lawrence; along with seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
