Charles (Charlie) Brown Sr., 76, Washington, died February 23, 2022 at the Washington County Hospital from complications due to Covid. Funeral services will be at a later date. Charlie was born in Bakersfield, CA on May 4, 1945 to John J. and Margaret (Marppey) Brown. He graduated from high school in Broxton, OK and entered the U.S. Army. On April 20, 1966, he was united in marriage to Doris Laul while on his first tour in Germany. They were blessed with two children, Charles (Charlie) Jr. and Charlotte. Upon retiring from the Army after 22 years of service, he moved to Washington, and worked with Charles Walter in concrete construction. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and riding 4-wheelers on the dirt trails in Colorado. He especially enjoyed riding his Honda Gold Wing trike. He was happy when his children moved to Kansas so he could spend more time with them.
