March 3, 1939 — December 13, 2021

Barbara Kay (Werner) Tremblay also known as “Punkie” passed over into the arms of the Lord quietly and comfortably at her home in Greenleaf, KS on December 13, 2021. She was born March 3, 1939 to Edna Kay (Etter) Werner and John Kenneth Werner. Barb was a lifelong member of the Washington, KS community. She was a talented hairdresser who had her own salon for many years. She was a creative soul who could make crafts out of just about anything. She loved to garden, crochet, needlepoint and was a great seamstress making all of her kid’s Halloween costumes every year. Barbara had the softest, kindest heart when it came to saving stray animals but most of all she loved her children who were a great source of pride to her as a mother. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, her brother John Richard Werner (Junior) from Washington and her nephew John Werner of Lane, KS. She is survived by her children: Thadd Tremblay of Wichita, her daughter Megan Tremblay of Kansas City and her son Christopher Crum, his wife Allison of Olathe, her Sister-in-law Sharon Werner of Washington and nephew Thomas Werner and wife Denise of Pritchett, CO. She has three grandchildren: Justin Crum and wife Celia of Garnett KS, Alyssa Warren and husband Jay of Gardner KS and Joel Crum of Olathe KS. She is survived by 7 great grandchildren: Carter, Lily, Everly, Foster, Abram, Charli and Lena. She has requested a private departure with her family.
