On November 13, 1955, she married Doyle Eldon Dague, who preceded her in death in March of 1983. Except for six years in California, she spent her whole life in Washington County, Kansas. She loved the outdoors, and from early childhood, would go hunting and fishing with her brother, and later with her husband and family. She loved working on the farm. Her favorite part of farming was calving the cow herd and usually they calved out a group of heifers and sold them to local farmers. After graduating from Greenleaf High School, she worked in the Greenleaf State Bank. She made Assistant Cashier there. Following her marriage, she worked at the Linn State Bank. When they moved to California, she worked at Bethlehem Steel and Hughes Aircraft. After coming back to Kansas, she farmed with her husband until his death. She then worked as a bookkeeper, and later on as office assistant and bookkeeper at the Animal Health Center. She loved to help with the small animals, especially birthing puppies. In her spare time, she liked playing Bingo, cards, and having fun with her family and friends. After she retired, she spent her time volunteering at Prairie Land Foods, American Legion Auxiliary and the Washington County Historical Society, where she was Treasurer for several years. She was a member of the Pinochle Club “WIMODAUSIS”. Her parents, husband, companion Paul With, and beloved daughter Penny, preceded her in death. She is survived by: her son Monte of Aurora, Colorado and his three children, Justin, Tori, and Evan Dague; her son Murray and his wife Jennifer, of Washington, and their two children, Laura Dague and husband Enrique Pinzon of College Station, Texas and Megan Scott and husband Brian, of Manhattan; and her great-grandchildren Pascal and Elena Pinzon-Dague, Belle Scott, and Riyah Dague, as well as lots of friends. A memorial fund has been established to the Washington County Historical Society or the Washington County Hospital. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home.
