Josephine Graves, 91, Washington, died Sunday, March 4, 2007 at the Washington County Hospital, Washington. She was born on April 18, 1915 at Haddam to Logan and Maude (Hagans) Stone. Josephine was a homemaker and a seamstress for a retail-clothing manufacturer. She married James W. Graves on August 5, 1934, at Belleville, Ks. They were blessed with eleven children. She was preceded in death by her husband, James on May 16, 1974; a son John Graves; daughters, Jolene Graves and Jeannine Graves; a granddaughter; two brothers, one in infancy and Francis Stone; and a sister Esther Ruth Stone. Josephine is survived by sons, Erwin Graves, Sacramento, CA, Robert Graves and wife Betty, Haddam, Merlin Graves and wife Betty, Greenleaf, Leon Graves and Kevin Graves, Washington; daughters, Violice O’Connor and husband John, Lincoln, NE, Mary Burke and husband Claude, Lakewood, CO, Eunice Graves, Loveland, CO; sisters Margaret Nespor, Wichita, Ellen Patterson, Washington; 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral service for Josephine will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at the Morrowville Christian Church, Morrowville. Pastor Ron Brown will officiate. Interment will be in Greenfield, Cemetery, Morrowville. Casket bearers are Joel O’Connor, Travis Graves, Tracy Graves, Bradley Graves, Nick Jennings, Randy Bramblett, Russ Jennings and Brian Graves.
