Alfred B. Nutsch

Alfred Burt Nutsch, 75, died Saturday, August 12, 2006 at the Republic County Hospital, Belleville. A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 16, 2006, at the Haddam City Cemetery, Haddam. Pastor Wendell Sack officiated. Alfred was born October 8, 1930 to Max P. and Clara (Zurfluh) Nutsch at Haddam. He joined the Army and served in the Korean Conflict, and was honorably discharged in January of 1960. Alfred was a heavy equipment contractor and a farmer, working in the agriculture industry his lifetime. He was a member of the American Legion in Haddam. Alfred was united in marriage to O'Leta Kirkpatrick on May 4, 1957 at Munden. They were blessed with two sons and a daughter. Dean, Perry and Sharon He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother in infancy and brother Kenneth Nutsch in 2001. Alfred is survived by his wife of 49 years, O’Leta; sons, Dean and wife Karen, Haddam, Perry and wife Deb, Washington; daughter, Sharon Rogge, Solomon; brothers, Herman Nutsch, Haddam, Rudolph Nutsch, Washington, Frank Nutsch and wife Martha, Morrowville, Paul Nutsch and wife, Helen, Russell; three grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
