Glenn Elliott

Glenn Elliott, 92, died Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at the Linn Community Nursing Home. He was born in Coleman Township to Andrew and Josie (Burnett) Elliott on August 13, 1913. He was married to Hazel May Pickard on October, 20, 1937.Glenn lived in the Throop Community where he farmed until retirement in 1979 and moved to Washington, In 1958 he built a new home on the farm and in 1979 when he retired, built his home in Washington. Glen and Hazel were blessed with a son, Norman. He was a member on the Washington Lions Club and the United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel, June 20, 1985; his parents; and brother, Wayne Elliott. Glenn is survived by son, Norman and wife Janet, Morrowville; a brother, Willis Elliott and wife Beth, Wichita; sister in law, Janet Elliott, Washington; and two granddaughters. Funeral Memorial Service will be held at the United Methodist Church, Thursday, August 3 at 10:30 am. Pastor Phil Morris will officiate. Burial will be at the Washington City Cemetery, August 3 at 9:30 am. Casket bearers are Brad Diehl, Tim Gilliam, Dale Bond, Kevin Elliott, John Doll and Bill Pickard. Visitation is Wednesday, August 2 at the Ward Funeral Home from 5 to 7 pm. A memorial has been established, to be designated later by the family.
