Orval Kenneth Moon

GREENLEAF - O. Kenneth Moon, 86, Greenleaf, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at his home. He was born at Greenleaf on March 8, 1920 to John I. and Luella M. (Quincy) Moon. Kenneth worked as a feed mill operator for the Farmers Coop Elevator Assoc. in Greenleaf, for many years and served in the US Navy during WWII. On January 16, 1952 he was united in marriage to Ila Jo Parker. To this union they were blessed with three sons, Ivan, Kent and Michael and a daughter, Estella. Ila Jo preceded Kenneth in death on December 3, 1995. Kenneth was also preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Ivan, Donald, Melvin and James Moon. He is survived by daughter Estella Crough and husband Randy, Salina; Ivan Moon and Kent Moon, Salina, Michael Moon and wife Michelle, Assaria; sister, Rosetta Brown, Little River, SC; 4 granddaughters, Sarah and Rachel Moon and Christina and Janelle McCully, three step grandchildren, Sara Crough, Jacob Crough and Andrew Crough; and a step great grandson, Brice Green. Funeral service for Kenneth will be held at the Ward Funeral Home, Greenleaf, Saturday, June 17, 2006 at 10:00 am. Pastor Phil Morris will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenleaf City Cemetery.
