Clifford Howard Perkins, 92, Diller, NE died November 24, 2017 at Washington County Hospital in Washington, KS. Clifford laid in state from 12 pm until 8 pm with the family greeting friends from 5 to 7 pm on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Ward Funeral Home in Washington, KS. Rev. Mark Liscom officiated. John Snyder was organist and sang "How Great Thou Art." Pallbearers were his grandsons, Troy Miller, Tyler Ford, Colby Manley, Shane Manley, Adam Roelfs, Alan Roelfs and Hoe Henrichs. Burial was in Hollenberg Cemetery in Hollenberg, KS. Military honors were by the Army National Guard, Lincoln, NE and the Diller American Legion. Clifford was born June 16, 1925 in Hollenberg, the son of William Howard and Ruby "Fern" (Houston) Perkins. He served in the US Army. He worked for the State of Kansas Department of Transportation and also worked as a contractor for the railroad. He always enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sharing stories and always had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and just being outdoors. He married Dorothy Root and she preceded him in death in 1991. He later married Cleo (Regnier) Henrichs and she survives of their home. Other survivors include his children, Rhonda (Larry) Manley, Washington, KS, Rick Perkins, Jamestown, KS, Roxanne Schottel, Washington, KS; step children, Becky (John) Snyder, Liberty, NE, Elizabeth "Beth" (Dean) Roelfs, Diller, NE, David (Sherry) Henrichs, Diller, NE; 5 grandchildren, Shane, Schanah, Colby, Ranai and Ronicka, 13 great-grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren and 7 step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Anna Perkins. Memorial has been established by the family and may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home in Washington.
