Isabel Marie Diederich

Isabel Marie Diederich, 82, died at her home in Barnes, Thursday, May 11, 2006. She was born February 21, 1924 in Washington to Xavier and Mary Isabel (Jedliska) Scheetz. Isabel married Walter John Diederich on January 20, 1948 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Hanover. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Greenleaf and St. John’s Catholic in Hanover. Isabel was a member of the Altar Society and the Ballard Falls Needle Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Walter; and a brother, Francis Xavier Scheetz. She is survived by daughters, Janet Overbeck and husband Bill, Hanover, Marilyn Armenta and husband Mario, Joyce Porter and husband Jim, all of Salina; sons, Charles Diederich and wife Dema, Salina, John Diederich and wife Lisa, Barnes; 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 15, 2006 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Hanover. Father James Hoover and Sister Marilyn Wall will officiate. Burial will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. Casket bearers are Joe Porter, Jim Porter, Shawn Diederich, Justin Diederich, Roger Diederich and Michael Diederich. Visitation will be Sunday, May 14, 2006 from 6-7 pm at St. John’s Catholic Church, Hanover with a vigil service at 7:00. A memorial fund was established to be designated by the family at a later time.
