Bernard L. Hadde, 98, of Greenleaf, KS, died Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the Washington County Hospital. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 4, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Greenleaf. Father Larry Letourneau officiated. marie Hoover played the organ while the choir sang "Here I Am Lord", "On Eagles Wings", "May the Angels Be Yoiur Guide", "The Lord is My Light' and "How Great Thou Art." Pallbearers were David Hadorn, Bob Hadorn, Mark Diederich, Fred Meyer, Todd Ingalsbe and Jim Martin. Burial was in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Kimeo. Bernard Leo Hadde was born on August 7, 1910 at Greenleaf to Ernest and Margaret (Diederich) Hadde. Bernard was a life long farmer and stockman with his father and sister. He lived at Kimeo until moving to Greenleaf in the mid 70’s and in 2006 he moved to the Washington County Hospital. Bernard’s passions were Ford cars, Allis Chalmer tractors and farming. He also enjoyed spending time with his nieces and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gertrude Hadde; and brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Rose Hadde. Survivors include five nieces and several great nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington County Hospital Building Fund or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
