Yvonne M. Talbot

Yvonne M. Talbot, 75, formerly of Greenleaf, died Friday, September 23, 2016 at Overland Park, KS. A Rosary service was held at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, September 29 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Greenleaf. Mass of Christian Burial followed at 10:00 a.m. Burial was in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Yvonne was born January 18, 1941 to Leroy and Matilda (Wurtz) Talbot at Greenleaf, KS. She graduated high school and attended Brown Mackey Business College in Topeka. Yvonne moved to California and worked as a stenographer. She was in an accident and disabled and returned home to live with her parents, before entering the nursing home in 1995. Preceding her in death were her parents; and three brothers, Robert, Gene and Leon. Survivors include brothers, Jerry (Wanda) Talbot, Endicott, NE, Jim (Marguerite) Talbot, Marysville, Raymond (Sheri) Talbot, Wichita; and sisters, Marilyn (Alvin) Brungardt, Washington, Kathleen Wilkes, Altus, OK, Laura Asp, Wichita Falls, TX and Margaret Talbot, Oxford, MS; along with several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Yvonne Talbot Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home.
