Hazel N. Davison, 102, died Monday, December 31, 2012, at Homestead Nursing Home, Washington. A funeral service was 10 a.m., Friday, January 11, 2013 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Washington. Pastor Judy Hill officiated. Sheila Ouellette was organist and Dr. Jim Smart sang "In the Garden" and "Old Rugged Cross." Burial was in Washington City Cemetery. Hazel was born December 25, 1910 at Warrensburg, Missouri, to Oscar C and Effie (Donnel) Barker. On December 3, 1938 she was united in marriage to Ralph L. Davison at Kansas City, Missouri. They were blessed with two sons. In June of 1951, they moved to Washington and purchased the grain elevator, where Hazel was the bookkeeper. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and was the church organist for many years. Hazel played bridge and belonged to a local bridge club. Hazel loved traveling and took several trips to Europe. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ralph; son, Herbert; sisters Ruth and Dorothy; and brothers, Paul, William and Claude. Surviving her is her son Larry of Sedgwick, KS. A memorial fund has been established to the church. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington.
