WASHINGTON – Frances H. Brungardt, 89, died December 31, 2004 at the Washington County Hospital. She was born in Park, KS to John and Elizabeth (Kinderknecht) Linenberger on February 17, 1915. Frances was active in her church at Kansas City and in Washington. She lived and worked in Kansas City for 38 years. She enjoyed doing ceramics, making and furnishing doll houses, flowers and her biggest joy was being with her family and friends. She was able to do some traveling after her retirement and always enjoyed the places she went. Frances married Joseph Brungardt on November 26, 1935 in Morrowville, KS. He preceded her in death November 1, 1975. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son in law, Kenneth Fritz; two brothers, Al Linenberger, Victor Linenberger; two sisters, Irene Specht, Betty Burnett; a sister in law, Wanda Linenberger; and a freat granddaughter. She is survived by two sons, Alfred Brungardt and wife Judy, Newton, IA, John Brungardt and wife Dot, Raytown, MO; two daughters, Delores Fritz, Washington, Jan Ross and husband John, Lee’s Summit, MO; brothers, Elmer Linenberger and wife Alvina, Deepwater, MO, Jack Linenberger and wife Bonnie, Kansas City, MO, Phil Linenberger, Washington, Omar Linenberger, Hays, KS; sisters, Isabell Brungardt, Washington, Edna Moore and husband John, Holbrook, AZ, Harriet Smith, Kansas City, MO, Agnes Marsteller and husband Ray, Washington; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Mass of the Christian Burial was held at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Monday, January 3, 2005 at 10:30 am. Father James Hoover and Sister Marilyn Wall officiated. Burial was in Washington City Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family request donations to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital in her name.
