Ronald Tegethoff

RONALD TEGETHOFF Ronald Tegethoff, 67, Palouse, WA, Died May 11, 2005, at Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, ID. He was born June 8, 1937, at Kimeo, the son of Chester F. and Viola Hoover Tegethoff. He graduated from Greenleaf High School and then entered the United States Marine Corps on August 17, 1956 and was discharged August 16, 1959. After the service he owned and operated a demolition company until an injury forced him to retire. He later owned and operated a bar in Colorado for several years. He moved to Prescott, AZ and tended bar at the Eagles Lodge there. Mr. Tegethoff was a member of the American Legion and a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He met Ada Malley in Prescott and the two lived together, caring for one another until Ms Malley’s death in 1997. Due to failing health, Mr. Tegethoff moved to Palouse in 1998 to be near Ms Malley’s, whom he held as family. Survivors include step son, Bruce E Nisse, Palouse; a daughter Heather E Tegethoff, unknown, and aunts Marcella Hogan, Florence Pickett and Lola Donigan all of Washington County. At his request, Mr. Tegethoff was cremated and his ashes were buried at his mother’s side. Graveside services were held June 28 at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Kimeo.
