ADOLPH R. CUMRO HOLLENBERG – Adolph Rudolph Cumro, 93, Hollenberg, died at the Washington County Hospital, Wednesday, August 17, 2005. He was born on August 7, 1912, in Jefferson County, NE near Hollenberg to William and Margaret (Lyhane) Cumro. Adolph was a lifelong farmer and a teacher. On January 12, 1991 he married Gertrude Diederich Marlowe at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Greenleaf, KS. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, William, Martin, and Dennis; step daughter, Kathleen Marlowe; three stepsons, Darrell Marlowe, Lowell Marlowe and John D Marlowe. Survivors include two brothers, Louis and wife Sandy, Odell, NE, Maurice and wife Viola, Fairbury, NE; sister, Catharine Nutsch and husband George, Fairbury, NE; two sisters in law, Ardyce Cumro, Table Rock, NE, Wilma Cumro, Summerfield, KS; three step daughters, Joselyn Kearn and husband Terry, Washington, Darleen Scott and husband Roger, Ft. Morgan, CO, Melinda Scroggie and husband Robert, Bedford, IA; several stepgrandchildren and great step grandchildren. A Vigil service was held at the St Augustine Catholic Church, Washington, Friday, August 19, 2005 at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial was held at the St. Augustine Church, Washington, Saturday, August 20, 2005 with Father James Hoover and Sister Marilyn Wall officiating. Burial was in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Hanover, KS. Casket bearers were nephews, James Nutsch, Gregory Nutsch, Kevin Nutsch, Stephen Cumro, Kenneth Cumro, Daniel Cumro, Dennis Cumro and Gary Cumro.
