Lilly Biegert

Washington- Lilly Biegert, 102, died Sunday, October 21, 2007 at the Homestead Nursing Home, Washington. Lilly was born in rural Russell County, Kansas on June 24,1905 to Merritt and Annis (Richmond) Snyder. She was married to David D. Biegert on October 8, 1925 at Salina and in 1936 they moved to Washington. Lilly was a homemaker, a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and loved to crochet, sew and do craftwork. David preceded her in death on October 12, 1964. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond, Ivan, Marvin and Elvis Snyder; sister, Madge Snyder; and daughter-in-law, Ruby Biegert. Lilly is survived by her son Dale Biegert, Washington; and two granddaughters, Jody Biegert, Salina and Drenna Laflin and husband Greg, Washington. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, at the Washington City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. A memorial fund has been established and will benefit the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Washington.
